Hi! I’m Joy Zou, a Storyboard Artist and 2D Animator from Melbourne, Australia.
I’m a recent graduate from RMIT’s Bachelor of Design (Animation and Interactive Media), and the winner of the 2023 Dean’s Award for their animation program.
I’m also the Founder and President of WeAnimate Club – Women in Animation’s (WIA) first international student club outside the USA. We facilitate industry and social events for student animators in Melbourne.
Previously, I worked with Menzies and RMIT University as a Story Artist, 2D Animator and BG Designer. In 2022, I was a student co-director for an industry project, creating an original animated music video for legendary German metal band TANKARD which has been screened in over 20 film festivals and won three international awards.
